Hello, my name is Kanako.

I’m originally from Japan. I’m married to a Kiwi husband and we have two beautiful daughters. We live in Christchurch, New Zealand. I’m “the Mama O’s seamstress, right here in Christchurch!”, as it says on many of the product descriptions on our website.

I started by making a couple of sewing products under the founder of the Mama Organiser. A few months later the Covid-19 pandemic hit globally and we focused on supplying and making more products in NZ rather than importing from overseas. Together we designed and made a new and improved style of Coverall Bibs, Anywhere High Chairs, book bags and aprons product lines.

In 2022, I accepted an offer to take over and continue to run this business. Since then I have added Sleeveless bibs & Plunket book covers as new items. Sewing and craft is always my passion and I love making the Mama Organiser products.

I am still raising children, although they are teenagers now. I travelled overseas with them a few times when they were little, so I know how the inside of a mum’s bag looks. The little organised pouches for food, nappies, toys and a set of clean clothes are very useful. When taking a child to a restaurant or visiting relatives and friends’ houses, the Anywhere High Chair can be a real lifesaver.

I’d like to continue providing “quality, simplicity, good function, longevity and stylish” parenting products to all the parents and caregivers. I’m hoping to create more functional, long lasting, fun products and eco-friendly upcycling products as well in the future.

Eco-friendly is an important aspect in Mama Organiser. I carefully package each kit or a product in fully recyclable / biodegradable packaging so that the recipient feels special and they also make fantastic gifts. I hope you enjoy using your Mama Organiser products.

My aim is that I can deliver as many smiles to you and your children while you're busy parenting.
